Anita Korbe
Anita Korbe has been a nurse for 40 years and has taught nursing for the last 20 years. Her BSN degree was completed at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, a Masters degree in Nursing Administration and a Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina, and a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Korbe is also certified in lifestyle medicine by the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Anita is a member of the ANA, NLN and has served as the President-elect and President of the South Carolina League of Nursing and as Chair of the Education Committee for the South Carolina Nurses Association. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and has served on the board for the Gamma Omicron Chapter at Large.
She has worked with the Lindsborg Community Hospital to administer the Korbe Family Nursing Scholarship which awards $1000 scholarships each year in a small rural community for high school students who desire to attain an Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing. Anita served her local community as a member of the Oak Island, NC Planning Board for 3 years, has been an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for the past 5 years, served as the Chair of the Oak Island Elks Scholarship Committee for 3 years, and is still a committee member of the Oak Island Elks Scholarship Committee. Anita, has also been an auxiliary member of the American Legion for the past 5 years.
