Angela G. Jenkins-Jacobs received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2014 and her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Post Masters’ Certification in 2018 earning both from Georgia College and State University. Dr. Jacobs is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family PMHNP. She received her Master’s in Nursing Education in 2007 from Valdosta State University. Dr. Jacobs currently serves as Contributing Faculty in the College of Nursing at Walden University and has served in this role since September 2020. As a part-time faculty member, she is teaching in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program. She has taught Mental Health Nursing at other colleges where she has served in various positions from Clinical instructor to Assistant Professor of Nursing. Professionally, Dr. Jacobs has over 25 years' experience in the field of mental health and has worked as a researcher in community-based research settings in a variety of areas including Psycho-Oncology, TelePsychiatry and Inpatient/Outpatient Psychiatric Settings. She has served as a Consultant and Psychiatric Clinical expert in various settings and served on Doctor of Nursing Practice Project Committee. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
