Dr. Stringer has been a Psychology professor intermittently from August 2013 to July 2022, taking a break to focus on her private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. She has taught various clinical and counseling courses, including Abnormal Psychology, Counseling Techniques, and Personality. Currently, she works with individuals aged 12 and up, adults, older adults, couples, and individuals. Dr. Stringer has extensive experience addressing anxiety, mood disorders, relationship challenges, adjustment issues, occupational stress, personality disorders, chronic pain and illness, and anger management. She is particularly interested in resilience and developing protective factors to enhance coping skills in work, family, or life transitions.
Starting as a clinical social worker after graduating from Walden University in 2011, Dr. Stringer became a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Ohio and shifted from clinical social work to a combined approach of social work and psychology.
