Dr. Amanda Brown is a licensed professional counselor and supervisor. She obtained her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from National Louis University in 2025. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling in 2010 from Columbia International University and has worked a clinician, program director and supervisor since 2010. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a licensed supervisor (LPCS). She has worked in a variety of professional counseling settings including substance abuse clinics, private practice, federally qualified health centers, and federal work with the US department of Veteran’s Affairs. She is an adjunct faculty member in the counseling department at Walden University. Dr Brown has extensive international experience volunteering and working abroad. Her research interests include counselor identity, trauma informed supervision models, and religious trauma. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Mental Health Counseling Association (AMHCA), American Counselor Educators Association (ACES), and Chi Sigma Iota (CSI).
