Dr. Allana Taylor, EdD, MSW, LCSW is a social work educator, licensed clinical social worker, and higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience in mental health, student development, and educational leadership. She teaches in the Bacehlors of Social Work program at Walden University.

Dr. Taylor’s research focuses on the experiences of first-generation college students, particularly the role of belonging and institutional support in promoting persistence and success in higher education. In addition to her teaching, she serves as Senior Director of Student Counseling and Wellbeing at a private university , where she oversees counseling and wellness and wellness initiatives.

Her professional expertise includes clinical social work practice and the development of holistic programs that support student well-being, retention, and success across diverse educational environments.
