Dr. Aisha Mitchell Washington, LCSW, CCM is a contributing faculty at Walden University. She has five years of online teaching experience at another institution. She has her doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California. She has her Masters of Social Work with a specialization in children, youth, and families from the University of Alabama and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management from Troy University. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Birmingham and Southern College. She began her social services career with Americorp in 1996 as a volunteer in Birmingham, Alabama. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a Clinical Director at Behavioral Health Connections Atlanta. It is a telemedicine program and call center that she implemented in Georgia for UHS Inc. She also owns her own consulting company, AR Mitchell Consulting, LLC. She is a member of NASW-Ga.
