*Scholarship recipients must be new Walden students, employees of CommonSpirit Health, and start classes between November 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024. Certificate programs and Tempo Learning® programs are excluded from this scholarship.
The scholarship is applicable to tuition only and does not apply toward books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course. This scholarship will remain in effect for the duration of the student’s continuous enrollment at Walden. The scholarships are not stackable with any other tuition discounts, grants or scholarships offered by University. Candidates who withdraw from the program or university or change to another degree program will not remain eligible for this scholarship and will forfeit the remaining scholarship funds. In order for scholarship funding to continue until the award is depleted, recipients must meet the satisfactory academic progress criteria set forth by Walden University’s current catalog for the duration of their program. Full scholarship funding is dependent on full-time enrollment; Partner employee students enrolled less than full-time receive pro-rated scholarship amounts determined by the number of hours enrolled each term. Recipients cannot have received another merit-based Walden scholarship. Scholarship recipients cannot be employed by Walden University. Recipients must meet all CommonSpirit Health’s eligibility requirements and ongoing requirements in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
Sixty scholarships will be awarded to new students, on a rolling basis as a tuition reduction equally distributed over the number of terms in the eligible program, resulting in a $15,000 tuition reduction. Number of terms varies by program. Eligible programs include: the Master of Business Administration (MBA), MS in Leadership, MS Human Resource Management, MS in Leadership, BS in Business Administration, Master of Science in Information Technology, Master of Science in Data Science, Master of Science in Cybersecurity, Master of Science in Social Work, and Bachelor of Science in Social Work programs. If a scholarship recipient’s tuition fees are less than the maximum per-term award amount or a scholarship recipient enrolls for less than the maximum number of consecutive terms, the full amount of the scholarship will not be received. This scholarship offer may not be combined with any other offer.
Scholarship funds will not be applied to any past due balance or outstanding bills or charges. The scholarships are a “non-cash” award, and in no event will the recipient receive a check or other disbursement of money pursuant to a scholarship. All tuition reductions, grants, or scholarships are subject to specific eligibility requirements. Contact a Walden University Enrollment Specialist for details.
Walden’s partnership with CommonSpirit Health is solely for the purpose of this scholarship and tuition reduction and is not a promise of preferential treatment of Walden students in hiring.
