CommonSpirit Health believes in the power of education to change the future. Walden University is excited to offer a total of 50 scholarships to employees of CommonSpirit who meet eligibility requirements and enroll to start classes between Feb 7 and June 27, 2022.

Scholarship Amounts:

  • •Up to $15,000 toward course-based programs.*
  • •Up to $5,500 toward Tempo Learning® programs.*

Eligible Areas of Study:

  • Business Management
  • Health and Health Sciences
  • Nursing
  • Psychology and Counseling
  • Social Work and Human Services

Apply to Walden. The first 50 applicants who meet the eligibility requirements, enroll, and start classes between February 7 and June 27, 2021, may be eligible to receive a scholarship.

When Will Winners Be Announced?

Winners will be selected every Friday (until 50 winners are awarded) and notified by Walden University.

Eligibility Requirements

Walden Eligibility Requirements

Scholarship recipients:

  • Must be CommonSpirit Health employees.
  • Must meet all admission requirements and be fully accepted into one of Walden University’s eligible programs.
  • Must be new Walden students and cannot receive another merit-based Walden scholarship.
  • Must start classes on August 30, 2021, September 6, 2021 or September 27, 2021, or the scholarship will be forfeited.
  • Cannot be employed by Walden University.
  • Cannot be members of the CommonSpirit Health scholarship selection committee.

CommonSpirit Health Eligibility Requirements

Scholarship recipients:

  • Must have at least six months length of service at a CommonSpirit Health system.
  • Must work full time at a CommonSpirit Health system.
  • Should have no adverse employment-related action in the 12 months prior to submitting the application through the scholarship award date.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program that meets the hiring needs of the CommonSpirit Health system.
  • Remain a full-time (1.0 FTE) employee while enrolled in the scholarship program.
