Shantay Bolton has been named executive vice president for administration and finance and chief business officer at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in organizational psychology with a concentration in industrial psychology from Walden University.
Deborah Addo has been promoted to president and chief operating officer for the Penn State Health system. She has been named multiple times by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the “50 Great African American Leaders in Healthcare to Know.” Her areas of expertise include financial management, LEAN, organization reengineering, strategic planning, physician engagement and population health. She earned her master's degree in public health from Walden University.
Southeast Georgia Health System named Susan Ibanez CIO, she holds two graduate degrees from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, in healthcare administration, and in arts and interdisciplinary studies. She also received a doctoral degree in healthcare administration from Walden University.
Mary Simmons is the new dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences at Florida A&M University. She has been serving as interim dean. Before being named interim dean in 2022, Dr. Simmons was the director of the Division of Cardiopulmonary Science in the School of Allied Health Sciences at the university. She joined the faculty nearly 20 years ago he earned a doctorate in public health/community health from Walden University.
Regional Medical Center has named Bridget Denzik, DNP, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, as the chief nursing officer (CNO). She will oversee nursing care within the hospital and at its affiliated facilities to ensure consistency in the organization's nursing practice standards. She will lead a team of nearly 400 registered nurses across a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services. Denzik received her doctorate in nursing practice from Walden University.
Michelle S. Houchin, MSL, RACR, FACMPE, President, Adkisson Search, has become a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). ACMPE is the certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). Fellowship in ACMPE’s industry-leading program demonstrates mastery and expertise in the profession of medical practice management. She received her master’s degree in leadership from Walden University.
StellarPeak Corp. has promoted Brian Montgomery to chief scientist. As Chief Scientist for StellarPeak Corp., Dr. Brian Montgomery provides comprehensive and detailed Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Imagery Scientist support to NGA and innovative solutions and initiatives to addressing difficult problems. He earned his PhD in public policy and terrorism from Walden University.
Jeffrey Wooden joins Nashville International Airport as the Director of Emergency Management. Before joining MNAA, Dr. Jeffrey Wooden previously served as a Senior Manager of Aviation Security with Amazon at their Air Gateway Hub in Wilmington, Ohio. Prior to Amazon, he was employed with the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He was awarded his Doctorate in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.

Heather Snipes, 37, of Eureka, has been appointed to the Advisory Commission on Special Education. Snipes has been a Program Specialist for the Supporting Inclusive Practices Program at the El Dorado Office of Education since 2022 and an Instructor at the California Preschool Instructional Network since 2018.

Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s Felisha Hampton has been named the 2023 National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award recipient. She will be honored at the Excellence Awards Celebration held during the annual NISOD Conference in May 2023 in Austin, Texas.

Alan Zais has over 28 years of affordable housing experience. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Winnebago County Housing Authority and Boone County Housing Authority.
