Background
Dr. Jain has been a practicing statistician since 1967, when he joined Bell Laboratories. After 34 years with Bell Labs, Bellcore, and Lucent Technologies, he joined the New Jersey Institute of Technology in January 2003 and Walden University in September 2005. At the Bell system, he worked on a broad range of projects, such as sampling plans for measurement of billing accuracy, experiments for telephone-intercept messages, and development of a security profile of a large corporate network. He has taught many courses in statistics at several local universities and in Motorola University’s Six Sigma training program.
