Statistical sampling; quality and reliability management
Dr. Jain has been a practicing statistician since 1967, when he joined Bell Laboratories. During a 34-year career in the Bell system, which included positions at Bell Labs, Bellcore, and Lucent Technologies, he worked on a broad range of projects, including sampling plans for measurement of billing accuracy, experiments for telephone-intercept messages, and development of a security profile of a large corporate network. He joined the faculty of the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2003 and Walden University in 2005. He has taught many courses in statistics at several universities and in Motorola University’s Six Sigma training program.
