Wanjira Kinuthia was until 2015 associate professor of learning technologies at Georgia State University for twelve years. Prior to that, she worked as a learning designer for several years. “Examining education and information technology and their emerging mutuality in the global world” has been, and continues to be at the core of her professional and academic pursuit. Her research examines educational technology in developing countries, investigating how ICT is positively infused into instructional settings. Projects include the role of Open Educational Resources (OER) and Mobile Technologies in bridging the digital and knowledge divide. She has edited several books and published many articles based on her work in these areas. Currently she is involved in teaching, research, curriculum design, and instructional design work in universities and NGOs in Kenya, the Caribbean, and the United Arab Emirates.
