Veronica received her Masters of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner at Winston Salem State University in 2008. Prior to to this she was a License Practical Nurse for 2 years then received a Bachelors degree from Winston Salem State University in 2005. She has been employed with Novant Healthcare system for her entire nursing carrier. She is currently a Valve Clinic Coordinator in the Cardiology department specialty of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement; a surgical procedure that was recently FDA approved in 2011. She also serves part time in an urgent care clinic in the rural area of North Carolina. She has assisted at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as adjunct clinical faculty for their graduate Nurse Practitioner program. In the past she have taught didactic for Surry Community College LPN-ADN program, and more recently for Winston Salem State University in their undergraduate and graduate clinical courses. Areas of expertise include med-surg for undergraduate students and primary care for graduate school.
