Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Dr. Morgan-Smith received her Ph.D. in Management at Walden University and currently serves as a Nurse Manager at Children’s National Medical Center and has served in various Nurse Leader roles since 1990. She has been a nurse for thirty-nine years and a nurse leader for twenty-nine years. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University Schools of Nursing.
Dr. Morgan-Smith began as a part-time faculty member at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing (JHU) and Indiana Wesleyan University’s (IWU) School of Business and School of Nursing. She teaches or has taught for IWU Healthcare Strategic Development, Healthcare Technology and Information Management, and Healthcare Governance and Organizational Structure, and for the School of Nursing, she teaches or has taught Utilization of Research for Evidence Based Practice and Professional Role Development for the Nurse Administrator. At JHU, Dr. Morgan-Smith teaches or has taught Leadership for Professional Nursing, and Leadership and Management in Healthcare. Most recently she presented at the Sigma Theta Tau 4th Biennial European Conference.
