Traci Ann Taber

Richard W. Riley College of Education and Human Sciences

I am Traci Taber, joining the Walden University team as Contributing Faculty for the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program. I am originally from East Meadow, NY (which is on Long Island) and currently reside in Phoenix, AZ.
I have a PhD from the University of Southern Mississippi in School Psychology, a Masters of Science in Counseling from California State University, East Bay, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. I also completed graduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis at National University in Bakersfield, CA.

I've been teaching at the university level for close to 15 years, both virtually and in-person. I also work for a company providing ABA-based therapy services to children on the autism spectrum and have a small practice as a psychologist here in Phoenix. I find having a variety of professional activities keeps me energized, and I particularly love teaching.

Five nouns that describe me are:
Dog-mom, Friend, Reader, Clinician, Explorer

When I am not teaching or working in some other capacity, I enjoy cooking, DIY projects, taking care of my dog (she loves to play frisbee!), and spending time with friends. I travel as much as I possibly can and two places I have enjoyed and hope to visit again are Cuba and Guatemala.
