Degree Program Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Tammy works full time at a local hospital as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). She has been a nurse since 1996. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Charleston in Charleston WV. She worked in many roles as a nurse and even outside the field of nursing until January of 2009 when she began her MSN degree specializing in anesthesia. She obtained this degree in May 2011 from Mountain State University in Beckley, WV (now merged with the University of Charleston in Charleston, WV). Tammy joined the Air Force in 2009 and went to anesthesia school on the HPSP military educational scholarship. After school she spent 3 years on active duty service in the Air Force. After leaving active duty in 2015, she worked full time as a CRNA. In 2016 she obtained her DNP from Chatham University in hopes of being able to teach nurses. She is now contributing faculty with Walden University. She is sharing her experiences as an advanced practice nurse and inspiring new nurses that are advancing their education.
