Dr. Sylnovie Merchant has a Ph.D. in Business with an emphasis in Quantitative Analysis and Computer Information Systems, an MBA, and a B.S. in Business. Dr. Merchant has taught at a number of courses at the graduate and undergraduate level, supervised professional and academic research and is currently working on research related to the role of culture in leadership, the use of semiotics in web advertising, and sustainability. She has presented her work at professional conferences, published in journals and books. At Walden University Dr. Merchant is a Contributing Faculty for the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program. Dr. Merchant’s professional background is in corporate America, business consulting of established and start-up businesses as well as the Public sector.
