Dr. Stephen W. Verrill has been a private and public law enforcement practitioner since 1982. He has line level experiences as a security guard, a police officer, and as a detective. He has administrative and supervisory experience that includes security guard operations management and supervision of personnel, Police Captain of Reserve Officers, and Police Academy Director. Dr. Verrill earned his PhD in Criminology in 2005 from the University of South Florida. He has served in various undergraduate and graduate capacities both in-person and online to include Adjunct Faculty, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor, Dissertation Chair, Program Coordinator, and Department Head. Dr. Verrill works at Walden with dissertation students.
