Dr. Steve Butler, is a contributing faculty member at Walden University, assisting students through the doctoral study/dissertation process.
He has taught education and leadership at both the undergraduate and graduate level for over 25 years and has served in a variety of educational leadership positions, including Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Academic Affairs.
His educational background includes an AA degree in Liberal Arts from Broward Junior College (now Broward College), a BSE in Physical Education from Florida Atlantic University, an MAE in Educational Administration from Chapman University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Auburn University.
He spent 24 years in the United States Air Force; 13 as a B-52 crew member and 11 in Military Education. His last position in the Air Force was as the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, the world’s largest language school.
His research interests include transformational curriculum, student retention, and assisting military personnel in obtaining higher education.
He has published several articles on curriculum and instruction and has presented on leadership at the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and several professional development seminars.
