Dr. Sheilia Goodwin has been a contributing faculty at Walden University since 2012. She is a full-time faculty at Winston-Salem State University (WSSU), an HBCU, currently teaching Nursing Research and Community Health Nursing. She began at WSSU in 2009, went to the University of South Carolina at Beaufort from 2013 through 2016, and returned to WSSU in 2017. She began teaching in 1982 and has also taught at the undergraduate level in Teacher Education at Indiana University Bloomington, teaching Social Foundations in Education. She has taught at the graduate level in a Master’s in Public Health Program and in a Family Nurse Practitioner program. For several years, she worked as an education consultant in Indonesia and was an educator and administrator in Tambura, South Sudan. She also has many years of experience in working with community agencies in both health care and education.
