Shae Vaughn

Dr. Shae Vaughn is a contributing faculty to the Family Nurse practitioner program in the College of Nursing at Walden University. She earned her BSN and MSN through The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in addition to a post master’s certificate in Family Practice. She earned her DNP from the University of Alabama. Dr. Vaughn has extensive experience in clinical practice. She has worked in various clinical areas such as, emergency medicine, cardiology, med-surg, PACU, OR and hospice. She is board certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners She maintains active clinical practice in both Family Medicine and urgent care at Baylor Scott and White Healthcare in Central Texas. Dr. Vaughn is an active member of numerous professional nursing and community service organizations. She is also a mother, dog owner and proud military family member. She currently resides in Austin Texas.
