Doctor/Lieutenant Colonel (LTC ret) Salvatore Sinatra has served in corporate America (40 yrs.), US Military (30 yrs), and academia (30+ yrs.), and as contract consultant (various). As management practitioner, professional developer, corporate trainer and education partner/manager, university educator, mentor, coach, and senior military leader, trainer, and researcher, Dr. Sal has contributed widely to societal growth through his professional development of ca. 10,000 executives, managers, military officers, administrators and university students in the US and abroad.

He has authored 14 books, guides and other publications as professional developer. During active military duty in the Gulf War, LTC Sinatra was decorated for PSYOP (psychological operations) leadership, cross-service team building, and seminal scholar-practitioner research, with publication on declassification. He subsequently authored a seminal PSYOP paper for a civilian journal. He has instructed for the USA Command and General Staff College and for various military schools, himself a graduate of each.

With Walden University, Dr. Sal has served as contributing PhD instructor, mentor, dissertation chair, dissertation member, University Research Reviewer, senior colleague, and lead faculty. He has been serving also as associate professor in MGMT and MGMT Science with another established accredited university.

He has taught professional writing, technical writing and public speaking, and as served as president of a regional Toastmasters Club. He is an educator, trainer, military leader/officer, and published poet.

Academic Services & Contributions

Completed ongoing advanced professional development and research program for Walden Univ. (’06), then designed and delivered integrated LDR/MGT/ program at major symposium with outstanding feedback. Appointed and serve as online PhD and EdD faculty mentor and dissertation chair for LDR & MGT research writing and professional writing at Walden Univ. (’06-pres) Cited for excellent instructional ratings and participated by invitation in best practices online symposium. Chair PhD committees for MGT dissertations (’09-pres).

Served as graduate faculty in MGT, MSA and EDU programs at Central Michigan Univ., to include OD, HRM/PM, Strategies for Teaching, and Curriculum Planning and Development, with excellent ratings (’04—‘18) Consulted for, researched, designed, developed, and delivered nonprofit management programs in professional communication for Duke University. For other select accredited EMBA, MBA, MSA, EDU, BSM and BS institutions domestically and internationally, have researched, developed, and delivered
courses in LDR, MGT, HRM, HRD, OB, OD, Org Theory, BUSCOM, ORG COM,
Technical Report Writing, Business Presentations, Public Speaking, and Effec-
tive Active and Empathic Listening, with excellent feedback (’93-’06). Served as faculty advisor for Jacksonville University (’00-‘01).

For senior officers at the US Army Command and General Staff College, taught military leadership; MGT science; strategy, operations and tactics; supply and logistics; and related military sciences and arts. Instructed for various levels of officers and enlisted at 3285 USAR School in Charlotte, NC and at 3286 USAR School in Garner, NC, with outstanding feedback and commendations. Served and officially recognized as excellent master teacher of apprentice teachers at Guilford Technical Comm. College. Served as corporate trainer-of-trainers and educators in LDR, MGT, COM at corporate AT&T (HRIT and Purchasing and Transportation), at American Transtech and at AT&T Solutions (’75-’93).

Corporate Leadership & Management

Served progressively until voluntary early retirement for AT&T and business telecommunications divisions. Progressed from cable operator to methods associate, to methods specialist, to senior methods specialist/consultant, to HR partner. Collaborated strategically with corporate HR Benefits, Labor Relations, Legal, and Line. Initiated and/or applied process quality, TQM, JIT, supplier relations and other organizational best practices and behaviors. Served as president of Toastmasters Int’l in NY and as AT&T speaker at NY Speakers Bureau. Authored nine corporate publications. Achieved 3% economies on multi-billion revenues (’61-‘96).

Military Leadership & Management

Served progressively in command and staff positions until retirement in various organizations, culminating as senior staff officer in US Special Operations Command for PSYOP (psychological operations) during war and peace. Decorated for leadership, team building, and original results-driven research. Trained and educated >1000 officers for US Army Command and General Staff College and other military schools.

Designed, directed, evaluated and/or participated in large scale organization simulations for 360th Civil Affairs Brigade, XVIIIth Airborne Corps and 82nd Airborne Division, 101st and 10th Mountain Divisions. Trained and led diverse levels of military and civilian personnel. Published seminal Top Secret PSYOP research study and journal article on HRM/cost effective deployment and utilization, and effective psychological operations following DoD declassification (’63-’93).
