Ron Mancoske

Ronald J. Mancoske received a BSW from the University of Wisconsin (Milwaukee), his MSW from Our Lady of the Lake University (San Antonio), his DSW from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), and an MPA in Health Care Administration from Troy State University (Montgomery). He is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). His practice experience has been in child welfare, mental health and behavioral health as a practitioner, a quality assurance monitor, and as an administrator. His 32 years of teaching experience has been in graduate social work classes as a guest lecturer (Hong Kong) and as Interim Dean, Endowed Chair, Professor and Adjunct. His primary area of teaching has been in behavioral health. He is serving as a Contributing Faculty Member at Walden University. Dr. Mancoske’ s primary research interests and publications have included AIDS planning and services, behavioral health, and diversity. He has managed several multi-years, multi-funded grants in integrative behavioral health, children’s systems of care, and in mental health among TANF recipients. He has been a life-long member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Council on Social Work Education where he serves as an Accreditation Site Visitor and a reviewer for the Journal of Social Work Education. He has been awarded training grants in mental health from SAMSHA, HRSA, and from managed care organizations. He does trainings in behavioral health for child welfare providers. He is a certified trainer in “Mental Health First Aid” and has a certificate in “Treating Childhood Trauma”. He has formerly and currently been active in health and independence work with the United Way, with AIDS planning and service delivery serving as chair and member, and as board of directors’ services with several non-profits.
