Degree Program Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA)

I am an Ohioan by birth and have lived in Ohio most of my life, except for a 3 year period when I lived in Pittsburgh. I went to undergraduate school at Ohio State and graduated as an X-ray technologist. I then furthered my education with an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and then a Ph. D. from California Southern University. I have spent most of my career in Healthcare Administration with the majority of it being in the Radiology spectrum in Northeast Ohio, Previously, I have worked for other healthcare systems and also had owned and operated some Radiology Centers and Convenient Care Clinics. Currently, I work for Philips Healthcare as a Radiology Solutions Architect.

I currently live in Akron, Ohio with my wife and our four children. I like to golf and fish, unless Ohio State Football is on TV.

I am involved in many departments and committees in the hospital in which I work. My main strengths are development and planning, as well as, operations. I have had positions from an X-ray technologist to Director, VP, COO, and CEO which gives me a well rounded health administration background I am quite involved in public policy and how it affects our institution and healthcare in general. One favorite part of my job is to coach and mentor my supervisors in healthcare issues. They are quite receptive to this and often ask for more information. I enjoy this type of work immensely.
