Robin Walter
Robin R. Walter received a PhD in Nursing from Barry University in December 2014. Since November 2021, she has served as part-time doctoral faculty with the College of Nursing at Walden University. Professionally, Dr. Walter is a Certified Nurse Educator with over a decade of teaching experience at all levels of nursing education. She is Quality Matters certified as an online instructor and course peer reviewer. She served in the United States Air Force as a Bulgarian linguist at the National Security Agency, Ft. Meade, MD. Dr. Walter has extensive experience in health policy and has worked as a state lobbyist, congressional legislative aide, and national grassroots coordinator. Her award-winning research focuses on social justice in nursing education and practice, and she has presented her theory of Emancipatory Nursing Praxis nationally and internationally. She led a grant-funded, statewide project to develop nurse leaders in policy advocacy in Florida and has several publications and presentations on nursing’s role in promoting public health and well-being by influencing health and public policies.
