Degree Program Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA)

Dr. Harrison has an undergraduate degree from Oregon State University (Go Beavers), a Master of Public Health from Tulane (Green Wave), and a PhD in health policy and administration from Portland State University (Vikings). So besides receiving degrees from schools with the worst mascots, he was born in Arkansas but grew up mostly in Oregon/Washington. He now lives back in Little Rock, AR. Dr. Harrison has worked for over 20 years in both academic medical centers and the private sector as a consultant for clients pursuing FDA device clearance. He is now the Director of Risk/Performance Improvement for a network of psychiatric hospitals. When not teaching and working, he spends time with his amazing wife and two wonderful stepdaughters.

At Walden he is a contributing faculty member for over 3 years in the MHA program and teaches classes including Law, Ethics and Policy; Topics in Healthcare Delivery; Foundations in Healthcare; and Healthcare Quality Management.
