Additionally, Dr. Murphy has worked as an associate faculty member at Walden University in the Richard Riley College of Education and Leadership since 2010 on both the master and bachelor levels. During that time he has taught courses related to web design and multimedia design. Recently, Dr. Murphy had the pleasure and challenge of co-writing two companion courses on the master’s level, Multimedia Design and Development I and Multimedia Design and Development II. He has taught both courses several times and currently teaches Multimedia Design and Development I. Both courses are based upon Dr. Richard Mayer’s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning and are required for the completion of a Masters in Instructional Design and Development.
