Hello, My name is Rebecca Godwin and I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago, but I have been residing in New Jersey for the past 27 years. I have been a registered nurse for 22 years. My specialty areas include pediatrics, neonatal intensive care nursery, and intermediate care nursery, and informatics. I have also worked with the Child Welfare Department of New Jersey for the past 15 years firstly as a coordination care specialist and later as the Nursing Informatics Specialist for the last nine years. I am currently a school nurse at a public high school, which I have been doing for only 6 months. I am the mother of four boys and have been married for 20 years. I also have three dogs, so as you can figure out by now I am very busy. I enjoy traveling and spending quality family time. I am a firm believer in living a healthy lifestyle by eating clean and going to the gym at least five times per week. I have been teaching maternity, pediatrics and mental health at Lincoln Technical Institute in the LPN program for six years. I also teach pediatric clinicals for Rutgers University. I have been teaching online for approximately six months and I am enjoying the online faculty experience. My educational background includes a Masters Degree in Nursing Informatics from Rutgers University and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Chatham University.
