Rashunda Miller Reed joined Walden University in 2019 as a core faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She earned her PhD from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans, LA and her MEd from Southeastern Louisiana University. She has experience in teaching Ethics, Multicultural Counseling, Human Sexuality, Foundations of Clinical Mental Health, Family Theories in Counseling, and supervising clinical mental health students. Her teaching, practice, and research is influenced by her systemic expertise. Her research focuses on the impact of intergenerational and integrated practices for promoting relational health among couples and families.

Dr. Reed possesses over 20 years of professional experience. Her work with diverse clientele include school-based and home-based counseling. She enjoys interacting with graduate students, professionals, and clients. She owns a private practice dedicated to counseling couples and families. She is a member of several professional organizations including American Counseling Association (ACA), American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), and the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA).
