Philip Adu
Dr. Philip Adu is currently a Contributing Faculty (PT) - Doctoral Committee Methodologist in the Richard W. Riley College of Education and Human Sciences at Walden University. He is also the Founder of Center Research Methods Consulting, LLC. He was a Methodology Expert at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP) for 10 years.
Dr. Adu completed his Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Education at West Virginia University. Dr. Adu has extensive knowledge and skills in conducting research (especially qualitative research) and designing and teaching research method courses. He has developed and taught Statistics, Qualitative Research, Action Research, and Program Evaluation courses in the International Psychology program, and Educational Psychology and Technology program at TCSPP.
He has great expertise in using qualitative data analysis software (QDAS) to conduct qualitative analyses. Dr. Adu is the author of A Step-by-Step Guide to Qualitative Data Coding. He is also a co-author of the recently published book, The Theoretical Framework in Phenomenological Research: Development and Application. In addition, he co-authored an upcoming book, Dissertation Research Methods: A Step-by-Step Guide to Writing Up Your Research in the Social Sciences.
