Rikki Mc Gee
Dr. Patricia (Rikki) McGee joined Walden in 2016 after earning emerita status at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Currently she serves as a Walden Mentor for doctoral students in Educational Technology. With over 30 years experience in higher education, she has coordinated three graduate programs: Adult Learning and Higher Education, Digital Learning Design, and Instructional Technology. Having directed several technology and teaching grants, she also worked as research faculty through the Office of Naval Research, Air Force Research Laboratory, and the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (formerly NLII) studying emerging technologies and learning systems in higher education, particularly those used in distributed learning environments. Additionally, Dr. McGee received a United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) Gold Award for Online Technology in Higher Education. She served as a Higher Learning Commission Peer Reviewer between 2007 and 2015. She is an active habitat steward, museum docent, and volunteer for projects that support community members with specific needs.
