Dr. Nesi Lillard is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in Texas, National Certfied Counselor, and Registered Play Therapist with a B.S. in Community Health from Texas A&M University, M.A. in Professional Counseling from Texas State University, and PhD in Counselor Education from Sam Houston State University. She began teaching as contributing faculty at Walden University in 2021 and previously taught multiple undergraduate courses in the classroom and virtually. She has provided professional conference training, supervised Master’s level students and LPC Associates in many capacities, and completed several research projects in the course of her counseling career. She owns a private counseling practice and before starting her business she worked in the Student Counseling Clinic at Sam Houston State University. Dr. Lillard has also served as a mental health provider in a community health care agency and has counseled a variety of clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds, primarily working with those from underserved populations.
