An educator and program manager with over 30 years of experience that includes teaching, research, and administration of higher education programs. My experience includes administering programs, evaluating proposed and funded projects, providing technical assistance for programs to encourage access for students of color, writing proposals for and implementing programs funded by the College Access Challenge Grant Program, Title VIII of the Higher Education Act; the Higher Education Teacher Quality Program Title II, Part A of ESEA; and the Corporation for National Service; and developing the infrastructure for state community service grants, state grants for recruitment and retention of students of color in nursing, state grants for intervention for college attendance an state grants for concurrent enrollment program expansion. I have extensive academic and professional preparation in the sciences, curriculum and instruction, professional development, research and evaluation, policy issues related to teacher quality, diversity in education, and program management and administration.
