Michael Bednarski earned a doctoral degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Administration and Leadership Studies. He completed a Master of Arts degree in History from the Citadel and a Bachelor of Arts from Coastal Carolina University in US History. Currently, Dr. Bednarski serves as a part time faculty member at Saint Vincent College and in the Richard Riley School of Education at Walden University. His teaching experience includes six years at the undergraduate (history and leadership) and graduate (leadership and education law) level.

Dr. Bednarski holds several leadership positions in the private sector. He is a managing partner at Apex, LLC and the President of Patriot Land Services in Washington, Pennsylvania. Prior experience in higher education includes over 15 years as an administrator, serving as the Director of Admissions and Director of Enrollment of a graduate school in Western Pennsylvania.

Dr. Bednarski resides in Western Pennsylvania with his wife Elizabeth and their sons (Domenic 11 and Brenden 7). He is passionate about his family, the American Civil War, and baseball.
