Melissa Dammann

Dr. Dammann received her Doctorate of Nursing at Case Western University in May 2015. She holds dual certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She currently serves as a clinical instructor in the College of Nursing at Walden University.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, Melissa Dammann practices as a Nurse Practitioner in an Urgent Care setting. Prior to her current position, she served as an ACNP on the Neurocritical Care team at Novant Health and The Cleveland Clinic. She has also served as a Field Reviewer for the Joint Commission, evaluating Stroke Programs.

Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Youngstown State University. She began her nursing practice in Pittsburgh, PA where she earned her Master’s degree as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at the University of Pittsburgh. She later received a Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Maryville University, St. Louis, MO, and her Doctorate of Nursing from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH.
