Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)
Dr. Maureen Marzano’s formal training is in organizational management and leadership where he has served in various roles over her 30+ year career. Dr. Marzano has experience in multiple industries including manufacturing, insurance, financial services, and health care moving up from administration to management and leadership, as well as consulting. Within these industries Dr. Marzano has been involved in product manufacturing, service delivery, technology innovation, government contracts, mergers and acquisitions, downsizing and consulting. Area of concentration include business strategic planning, operation management/process improvement, human resources, labor relations, marketing, sales, and risk management. Dr. Marzano has 20+ years of offering consulting services to small and medium sized companies, for profit and non- profit health care systems, insurance companies and governmental agencies.
Dr. Marzano made the transition to higher education in 2007. She has taught undergraduate business management, human resources, criminal justice, and healthcare courses. She has taught masters level business administration (MBA) general and health care track, organization psychology, public health, health promotion and wellness program courses. Her doctorate level teaching experience included content, dissertation and capstone courses for doctorate in Business Administration, Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Doctorate in Health Care Administration, and Doctorate in Nurse Practice. Her experience has been in ground, blended and online platforms. During this time frame she has served as a subject matter expert in the design and revision of courses, as well in lead faculty area chair, and faculty assessment liaison, and comprehensive exam, dissertation and capstone reviewer.
At Walden University, she serves as a Contributing Faculty- DBA program Capstone mentor. Dr. Marzano has served on numerous doctoral student dissertation and capstone committees. Dr. Marzano’s current research interests are diverse, and she is open to discussing collaboration in the area of research, presentations and publishing.
