Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
Dr. Bemker worked in community health with high-risk youths and adolescents for over 20 years. In addition, she has a private practice with specializations in addictions, PTSD and trauma issues, and family dynamics. She co-edited and wrote several chapters in three nursing textbooks. The population health textbook was selected as the 2018 AJN Book of the Year for advanced practice nurses. The other texts are on the development and execution of a DNP project and how to disseminate the results. Dr. Bemker is a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer, lead for Disaster Mental Health (American Red Cross Kentuckiana Chapter) and offers Services to the Armed Forces via workshops and community outreach. Presentations on the above topics at professional conferences, community events and via written works are something that Dr. Bemker enjoys.
