Kymberli Wregglesworth
Kymberli Wregglesworth’s (she/her) dedication to the teaching field is long-standing, reflected in her recognition as a 2019 Finalist for Michigan Teacher of the Year and a 2023 Finalist for the Bill of Rights Institute National Civics Teacher of the Year. Her leadership has been instrumental in the educational community, notably through her service on the Board of Directors for the National Network of State Teachers of the Year (NNSTOY) and as President of the Michigan Council for the Social Studies in 2022-2023. She has also served as a Policy Fellow and Mentor for the Michigan Teacher Leadership Collaborative. Kymberli's scholarly pursuits extend to the study of the Holocaust; in 2022, she was an inaugural recipient of the Auschwitz Legacy Fellowship, undertaking a rigorous study that included a significant research trip to Warsaw and Krakow, Poland, and the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum.
Academically, Kymberli holds a Master of Education from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in American History & Government from Ashland University. Her graduate work at Ashland was supported by the distinguished James Madison Fellowship, allowing her to delve into the Constitution and Founding Era at Georgetown University. She is also an alumna of Alma College, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in History and Political Science.
