Kwabena Dei Ofori-Attah completed his doctoral studies at Ohio University. He majored in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in elementary education. Dr. Ofori-Attah has two master's degrees, one in Public Administration and the other in International Affairs. Also, he is a Research Fellow for the African Educational Research Network. In this capacity, he works with international students all over the world. The African Educational Research Network publishes an online journal, The African Symposium. He prepares international students for studies in the United States. His interests include gender studies and Africa and Middle Eastern Affairs. In 2008, he published a book, Going to School in the Middle East and North Africa. Dr. Ofori-Attah has also published many articles in refereed journals, and in Encyclopedia of Education (2004), and two book chapters one in International Handbook on Urban Education, 2006, and the other in Education in West Africa (2015). In 2019, Dr. Ofori-Attah published three book chapters, two on teacher education in Liberia and Sierra Leone, and the conducting research on teacher education in Liberia and Sierra Leone. The other book chapter is on Comparative education in the Arab World. Late in February 2020, Dr. Ofori-Attah published an article in the Athens Journal of Education. The title of the article is Early Childhood Education and Instructional Ecology: A Vygotskian Approach in Teaching Early Childhood Social Studies.
Dr. Ofori-Attah started teaching online for Walden University in 2008 as a Contributing Faculty. He teaches or mentors doctoral students. He has served on several dissertation committees as either a member or chairperson. Overall, he has over 20 years of online teaching experience.
His research interests include gender studies, higher education, international education, comparative education, multicultural education, educational technology, teacher education, and Middle Eastern Studies.
