Kenshara Cravens graduated with her Ph.D. in Social Work from Walden University in 2023. Her dissertation, "Experiences and Perceptions of Hospital Social Workers," explored the often-misunderstood role of social workers in hospitals. This year, she also became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
As an Assistant Professor at Prairie View A&M University, Kenshara engages students with dynamic lectures and community-building exercises. Her achievements include the 2021 Sages of Clinical Services award from United Healthcare, recognition in The Daily News' “40 Under 40,” and the Hometown Hero award from The Carolyn Taylor Lee Foundation.
Kenshara founded the Craving For A Change Foundation, Inc., which implements social-emotional learning strategies for students in Galveston County. With her dedication to service and mentorship, she continues to make a significant impact in the field of social work.
