Ken Gossett

Dr. Ken Gossett worked in the health and human services field for a little over forty years from 1969 to 2010. He began his professional career as a child care worker and from there he worked his way up to become a Superintendent/CEO of a state operated mental health and mental retardation facility in Applecreek Ohio. After achieving dual accreditation in 1982 and 1985, he became the CEO of the Cambridge State Hospital in Minnesota. After serving for one year in this position, he was promoted to Acting Assistant Commissioner in the Department of Human Services for the State of Minnesota. After completing all of his coursework at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Gossett became the Superintendent of the Lake Country Board of MR/DD in Lake County, Ohio for the next six years. He then helped form a new Managed Care Company called the Ohio Renaissance MCO which he was involved with for the next six years. After selling this company, Dr. Gossett worked as the CEO/Administrator of Vantage Place and Guardian Health Care Services in Cleveland, Ohio. After moving to Minnesota, he finished his career working as the Director of Development for Opportunity Manor in Sartell, Minnesota. After he retired in 2010, he began his second career in on-line teaching and presently works at Walden University, Liberty University, and Colorado State Global University.
