Keith Myers has taught in higher education contexts since 2010. He received his PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from Mercer University, and his Master's in Community Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University. He has been working in clinical mental health counseling since 2002 and serves private clients in his private practice in the north metro ATL area. He has worked regularly with military members and first responders in his counseling practice since 2013. He has prior Dean experience while leading multiple counseling centers for underserved populations. He is currently working as a clinic director with Ellie Mental Health in Marietta, GA.

His current research includes clinical issues related to military members, which has culminated in the publishing of his first co-authored textbook entitled, Counseling Veterans: A Practical Guide by Cognella Academic Press (2020).
