Katrina Ruggles
Dr. Ruggles earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adams State University in May 2023 and has over 25 years of counseling experience. The first 11 years were spent primarily in private practice as a clinical mental health counselor, followed by 14 years as a secondary school counselor. For the past three years, Dr. Ruggles has been a counselor educator and supervisor, training school and clinical counselors. Research interests include comprehensive school counseling, career development, social-emotional learning, trauma-informed care, and suicide prevention. A trainer in QPR, YMHFA, ASIST, and trauma-informed care, Dr. Ruggles is dedicated to preparing future counselors with the skills to support diverse populations.
