M.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Dr. West has worked in the mental health field for over 30 years. She specializes in community mental health and has had the privilege to work with the developmentally disabled as well as with adults suffering from chronic mental disabilities. She is an expert witness in the state of Florida in the environment of incompetence to proceed. She currently manages five residential sites for chronically mentally ill adults and provides therapy as well. In addition she completes required baker act procedures and supervises interns from two universities. She has devoted her career to community mental health.
Originally from Southeast Missouri, she has traveled extensively in affiliation with the military. She lived in Frankfurt, Germany for five years and traveled Europe as well as Australia and several other countries including much of the U.S. Her current travel is limited primarily to Florida and Missouri where her passion lies.
She has two daughters, six grandchildren, one great grandson and a great granddaughter on the way (the passions). Her grandchildren are her travel companions and make trips several times a year in Florida, and Missouri. We also enjoy the arts, crafts, and music, both participating and as an audience
