Kamilah Blount Williams received her PhD in Education at Capella University in August 2013. She currently serves as Manager of Professional Development and has been employed at this healthcare entity for 20 years. Dr. Williams' years began as a contributing faculty member at Walden in the School of Nursing, October 2013. She has taught Ethics for Healthcare Professionals, Policy and Advocacy for Population Health, Essentials of Evidenced-Based Practice and clinical programs for nursing professional development. Professionally, Dr. William has worked as a nurse educator in the hospital setting and clinical instructor within academia. Dr. William is certified in Nursing Professional Development and engaged in research projects examining nurse resilience, clinical decision-making ability of new graduate nurses and effective teaching strategies for delivering education to graduate nurses transitioning into practice, and evaluation of traditional versus e-learning teaching strategies on achievement of learning outcomes.
