Dr Wilson a media psychologist, which means she examines how media affects attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors. She is also licensed as a registered nurse, with particular interests in how media affects us psychologically and physically. She is past President of Division 46 (Society of Media Psychology and Technology) of the American Psychological Association.
Dr Wilson has taught since 2006 primarily in leadership, health policy, media psychology personality and social psychology. She is a lead faculty for the theories of personality course at Walden, and also teaches social psychology and Foundations of Graduate Study.
