Jenny Oliphant

Dr. Oliphant has a Doctorate of Education from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Masters of Public Health from the University of Minnesota. She works in a research center that focuses on adolescent health, reproductive health and youth development in public health practice. Her expertise lies in adolescents, community-based participatory research and health education. She is an avid grant writer and reviewer and enjoys curriculum development. She is a co-author of PrimeTime, which received recognition from the US Office of Adolescent Health (OAH) as a Program that is evidence-based and can be used for interventions funded by federal pregnancy prevention dollars. Additionally, she served as a subject matter expert for a series of books which focus on health issues for middle school-aged girls. The series has a 2021 release date. Dr. Oliphant has taught epidemiology, community health, reproductive health and school health at many levels. Additionally, she is a member or chair of many dissertation committees as well as serves at writing intensives and residencies.
