Jeananne Elkins

Dr. Elkins holds a PhD in Health Services Research from Texas A&M University in addition to a DPT from Northeastern University. She has advised more than 100 Capstone projects for Doctor of Physical Therapy students at Northeastern University since 2014. Her primary role at Walden is dissertation advisor/mentor. Her research interests are in evidence-based medical care and in frailty in caregivers. In addition she is involved in research in a faith-based community based project in northeastern Georgia to improve health for historically underserved populations. Dr. Elkins served 3 years as an Advanced Fellow in Geriatrics at the Birmingham/Atlanta VA Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Care Center in Atlanta Georgia.
