Janet A Gunter received her PharmD at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in May 2008. She is a licensed pharmacist in North Carolina (19681, June 2008) and Texas (54048, October 2013) and became recognized as a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist in December 2010. She currently serves as a Contributing Faculty member with Walden University in the College of Health Sciences, School of Nursing and has served in this role since January 2014. Dr Gunter has experience in teaching ranging from K-12 to residency programs for pharmacists. Professionally, Dr. Gunter has worked as a clinical pharmacist in a variety of settings including acute care, ambulatory care and Behavioral Health. Her research has focused on the importance of the pharmacist as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
