Jim Morgan

Dr. Morgan has 15 years as DBA Core Faculty Lead for the Strategy & Innovation specialization program for Capella University in the School of Business before joining Walden University in 2023. In addition to a PhD in Strategy from Capella University SoBT, Jim has an MBA from University of Wisconsin - Madison, with certifications as a CPA, CFA, CPCU.

In addition to developing and instructing Strategy and Innovation DBA courses, Dr. Morgan conducts seminars in strategy and leadership for American Management Association (AMA) and UC-Davis. Dr. Morgan has written two articles for MWorld, the quarterly journal for the AMA, 2010-2012, on strategy, innovation, and execution. And has developed 14 courses in strategy, strategic thinking, innovation, and execution for Forbes, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Dominican University. All of the courses use a scholar-practitioner approach.
In 2013-2014 Dr. Morgan wrote and published two Strategy and Innovation Readers for Forbes.

2013 Harold Able Distinguished Faculty of the Year for the Capella School of Business and Outstanding Faculty of the year again in 2022. Stephen Shank Learner recognition awards annually 2012-2022.
