Hardik Patel

Dr. Hardik Patel received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine – School of Pharmacy in 2008. He is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist since 2016. In addition to his role as part time faculty at Walden University, Dr. Patel practices at Jeanes Hospital’s critical care unit as a full time clinical pharmacist since 2010, where he remains in constant engagement with cardiothoracic surgery team for managing pharmacotherapy of patients with open heart surgery. Besides providing coverage to other critically ill patients, his duties also include collaborating with bone marrow transplant teams to manage high risk patients during evening shift, responding to stroke alerts, code blues and facilitating medication reconciliation process. In terms of academic appointments, he is appointed as adjunct faculty for coordinating Advanced Pharmacology coursework for DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) program at Temple University in Philadelphia since 2017. He also teaches nursing students enrolled in BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) program at Temple University since 2016. Besides his clinical and academic appointments, he also serves as a clinical preceptor and instructor for pharmacy students at Thomas Jefferson University - College of Pharmacy since 2011.
